Partners in Health

Our largest donation in 2010 and 2011 was to Partners in Health which is partnering with poor communities around the world to combat disease and poverty.

The work of Partners in Health (PIH) has three goals: to care for patients, to alleviate the root causes of disease in their communities, and to share lessons learned around the world. Through long-term partnerships with their sister organizations, PIH brings the benefits of modern medical science to those in need and work to alleviate the crushing economic and social burdens of poverty that exacerbate disease. PIH believes that health is a fundamental right, not a privilege.

Search Homeless Services

Our second largest donation in 2010 and 2011 was to Search Homeless Services, a Houston based organization, which helps thousands of men, women and children each year move from the streets into jobs and safe, stable housing. Search works to engage, stabilize, educate, employ and house individuals and families who are homeless.

Livestrong Foundation

We gave to a number of organizations in the fight against cancer, but our third largest donation in 2010 and 2011 and the largest recipient of our philanthropy fighting cancer was the Livestrong Foundation. The Livestrong Foundation was founded and inspired by Lance Armstrong in 1997. At the age of 25, Lance Armstrong as a world class competitive cyclist, was diagnosed with testicular cancer. During his treatment he created the Lance Armstrong Foundation to assist people with cancer and to be an advocate for the cancer community.
