Bonner C. Barnes, AIF®
President, Chief Investment Officer
Bonner Barnes draws on more than thirty years experience navigating the securities markets. Prior to founding CORDA Investment Management, LLC, he began his career as an analyst and was employed in an investment banking capacity structuring new issues to be brought for sale in the public markets. Bonner subsequently worked for a firm as an underwriter, purchasing newly issued securities, and as a trader, buying and selling securities in the secondary market for the firm and for customers through a sales force. Bonner became registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Registered Investment Advisor in 1988. He founded CORDA Investment Management, LLC in 1999 and continues relationships with clients, some now more than 20 years. Bonner is a graduate of Duke University.
Portfolio Management & Chief Compliance Officer
John brings a deep understanding of the stock market to CORDA as he has over twenty years experience in the capital markets. John holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and earned an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. John's special expertise with large cap global equities was honed at Fisher Investments in Woodside, CA. Later, while residing in Austin, TX, he was Director of Investment Strategies for Capital Cities Asset Management, a tactical and sector oriented money manager. John has gained invaluable experience developed in the trenches of a demanding market environment over the past two decades. John enjoys building portfolios and client dialogue. He spends a great deal of time attempting to uncover exceptional investment opportunities and deliver extraordinary service. In his spare time, John can be found hiking on the trails around Lake Travis, or enjoying the best that the Gulf coast offers. He is an avid runner and has competed in many races, including the Boston Marathon.
Portfolio Management & Trading
Brian joined CORDA in 2011. He comes to us with a strong understanding of financial markets and risk management. Brian has a deep background in trade execution through his experience as a trader in the pits at both the Chicago Board Options Exchange and Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He also has experience trading electronically via Globex. He is originally from Chicago and received his degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. In his spare time, Brian can be found on the basketball court, golf course, or softball diamond.
Jason M. Iacobucci, AIF®
Director - Client Relations
Jason offers over ten years of financial services experience in the securities business to Corda Investment Management, LLC and its clients. Prior to joining CORDA, Jason was employed by TD Ameritrade in a management capacity until 2008. Jason managed the Austin and Woodlands, Texas branch locations for TD Ameritrade overseeing the operations and investment advice for the $1.3 billion in client assets and 30,000 accounts the offices served. As an entrepreneur, Jason founded Wireless Advantage, running the company as the owner/operator he went on to open multiple locations in San Antonio and Dallas, TX selling his ownership interest in early 2000. Jason holds the Series 63 and 66 licenses.
Paul brings over thirty years of broad business experience including banking, finance, asset management, commercial real estate, and real estate development to CORDA. Paul began his career in banking with Republic National Bank and later was with Citicorp. Paul then became a partner with Paragon Real Estate Group as the partner in charge of asset management and directed the management of a ten million square foot office-building portfolio. In 1990, Paul co-founded TTC Real Estate and began an acquisition program that ultimately purchased six million square feet of distressed office buildings in Houston and Dallas. In 1995, Paul co-founded Coach Realty Services and began actively developing multi-family projects with a total value in excess of $360mm. Paul is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received a Management Degree. Paul has served on the board of directors of numerous charities and organization including Houston School for Deaf Children, Post Oak Little League, Episcopal High School Dad’s Club, Sambo Muir Memorial Scholarship Fund, and Houston Housing Finance Corporation. Paul is an avid hunter and enjoys travel and snow skiing.
Jonathan English, AIF®
Jonathan joined CORDA in 2011. He offers over 11 years of sales, money management, and client service experience in the banking and financial services industries. Jonathan served as the Market Manager for Capital One Bank in Allen, TX where he directed and managed all aspects of the branches' sales and operations network. While at Capital One Bank, Jonathan also played an integral role in business development initiatives for the commercial and retail business lines of the bank. Jonathan graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Finance and relocated to Houston with his wife and two children. Jonathan enjoys staying active in his spare time, whether it’s on the softball field or playing a round of golf.
Jamie O'Neill, AIF®
Jamie brings 17 years of broad experience in the securities industry to CORDA, including managing an office for Raymond James Financial as well as time as an independent financial consultant in Michigan. Jamie’s background working with clients tied together with his knowledge of the sales, operations and compliance arenas of the securities industry have made him uniquely suited as client relationship officer. Jamie especially enjoys analyzing capital markets around the globe and relating current events to individual portfolios. He holds both Series 7 and Series 8 licenses and has been a Registered Representative since 1993. Jamie is a graduate of Michigan State University and is still an avid follower of his Spartans. When not at CORDA, Jamie enjoys golf, guitar and general aviation.
Terry has over 20 years of service in the capitals markets. Prior to joining CORDA, Terry was an advisor employed by PaineWebber and Sanders Morris Harris. Terry’s success in the finance world comes from his focus - aiming for perfection by working hard not to make mistakes. He believes communication is crucial to his successful client relationships. Terry was prepared for a quick transition into his second career by the high expectations in the professional setting of major league baseball and he began making financial recommendations in the 80’s, midway through his playing career. Terry was a record breaking hitter in his 15 year career in Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros. He is a member of the Canadian and Texas Baseball Hall of Fame.
Operations and Client Relations
Kim joined CORDA Investment Management, LLC in 2007. She began her career at Bank One working in the investment department where her work included management of the bank’s foreign currency portfolio as well as trading and sales of foreign exchange to the corporate clients of the bank. Her responsibilities included all aspects of foreign currency risk management. Kim also spent three years managing the certificate of deposit and Eurodollar investment portfolio as well as the repurchase agreements for the bank. Kim attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She was an active Girl Scout leader for ten years, member of the National Charity League, and currently volunteers at her church.
Operations and Client Relations
Diana joined CORDA Investment Management, LLC in 2010. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management with an MBA in International Management. She began her career at First City National Bank of Houston as a financial analyst. Diana has lived in England and Colombia and is conversational in Spanish and French. She has worked with many volunteer organizations, most recently, the Children’s Art Project of MD Anderson.
Operations and Client Relations
Teresa joined CORDA in 2012 and brings with her over 15 years of client relations’ experience. She completed her collegiate studies at the University of Texas in Austin, where she majored in Applied Learning and Development. After several years of being in a client service role in the Semiconductor industry in Boston, MA, she moved back to Texas and began her career in the financial industry. She managed the trading desk at Momentum Securities for 5 years before making the move to Sanders Morris Harris, where she provided wealth management support for almost 10 years. Teresa enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf and traveling.
